Nick Scar is a passionate community leader, real estate consultant, and advocate for children in need. With over 20 years of experience in mentorship, nonprofit service, and giving back through organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters and Habitat for Humanity, Nick has always believed in the power of second chances. His journey toward becoming a foster parent inspired the creation of Fostering Hope for Second Chances—a nonprofit built from compassion, personal experience, and a mission to help every child feel safe, seen, and supported.

Rachel is a dedicated mother of four and a passionate advocate for families seeking stability and renewal. With a background in real estate and a deep commitment to service, she brings both professional insight and personal compassion to her role. In addition to her work with Fostering Hope for Second Chances, Rachel serves on the board and as an ambassador for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, where she continues to champion community-focused initiatives.

Sarah Rich

Sarah Rich is a compassionate healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience in nursing, care coordination, and population health. She currently serves as the Ambulatory Care Management Program Manager at MercyOne PHSO and holds credentials as both a Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager.

Sarah is also a passionate advocate for foster care and the Down syndrome community. As a foster and adoptive mom, she brings both personal and professional insight to our mission. Her heart for service and commitment to equity make her an invaluable member of our board.
